Why Cathy Decided to Take the Leap

When Cathy first started looking into boudoir photography, she wasn’t entirely sure where to start.

“I had done some Google searching for local boudoir photographers,” she explained. “There was one in my area, but her vibe didn’t really match my style. I can’t remember exactly how I came across Le Boudoir Studio—it might have been a Facebook ad! But when I spoke with Miranda, I felt so at ease. She has this comforting yet fun vibe, and I knew I wanted to shoot with her.”

Timing, of course, is everything. Cathy had been interested for a while but wasn’t quite ready to commit. What the Experience Was Like

Walking into the studio for the first time can feel a little nerve-wracking, but for Cathy, the nerves melted away quickly.

“The makeup really surprised me! I’m not a makeup person, but Tanya did such an amazing job. The whole experience was magical—and honestly, a little tough too. Some of the poses felt like a workout!”

That effort was worth it, though. Cathy shared how much she appreciated the extra care and attention throughout the session. “Tanya stayed with me the entire time to help with props and touchups, and Miranda was incredible at showing and describing poses. I didn’t really have to think—I just got to be. It felt like being pampered and special, which isn’t something I do for myself very often.”

What Made the Session Special

For Cathy, one of the most exciting parts of her boudoir shoot was tapping into her creativity. “I’m not usually super creative, but this gave me a chance to express myself in a way I don’t normally get to,” she said. While there were some initial nerves about being so exposed, they quickly faded thanks to the supportive atmosphere.

“I’m pretty body-positive,” Cathy shared, “but I was a little nervous about showing so much of myself. Miranda and Tanya were amazing cheerleaders, though, and boosted my confidence the entire time.” The session turned into an opportunity to connect with her sensuality in a way she hadn’t before. “I felt sexy and empowered,” Cathy said. “So many of us don’t own our sensuality, but during the session, I was able to get out of my head and into my body. I felt happy and giddy knowing I was in charge of my experience.”

Life After The Boudoir Session

After the session, Cathy noticed a shift in how she viewed herself. “I’ve been on a journey of self-discovery and healing, and this was such a big part of that,” she said. “The session and the photos were just for me. Now, when I look in the mirror, it’s like I have this sexy little secret with myself. Even when life gets tough, I know that strength and beauty are there inside me. I even have proof of it in a little black photo album!”

One photo, in particular, stood out to Cathy as especially meaningful. “There’s this picture of me in red lingerie, standing in front of the mirror with a big smile on my face,”she described. “That smile is pure joy and playfulness. When I showed it to my best friend, she loved it too. For me, it’s not just about the sensual, decadent vibe of the photos—it’s about the happiness and love that shine through.”

Cathy’s Advice for Anyone Considering Boudoir

For those feeling hesitant or nervous about booking a boudoir session, Cathy has some words of wisdom: “Don’t think about it—just do it! Invest in yourself and let Miranda show you how amazing you are. I felt so safe and empowered in front of her camera. Whatever your vibe is, bring it to the studio and let it shine.”

When asked if she would recommend a boudoir session to others, Cathy didn’t hold back. “1000%! It’s fun, empowering, sexy, creative, and so much more. Our bodies are amazing, and we all deserve to see that for ourselves.”
